Nick Young, Executive Chef

Chef Nick started working as a delivery driver at the age of 16 in a childhood friend's pizza place. Nick became fascinated by the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. One day when one of the cooks called out sick, Nick was asked to help cook. Learning quickly from watching the cooks over the years, Nick began studying anything and everything he could about culinary.

In September of 2014 Nick was offered his first Executive Chef Job in the Hotel Industry. In 2016 Nick took an opportunity as a cook at the Radnor Hotel where he learned so much about being a Chef and being creative. Nick was promoted to Sous Chef and began to be involved in the menu development for the Glenn Morgan Restaurant.

Fast Forward to 2019 Nick began working at Echo Lake as Sous Chef, prior to the community being opened. Falling in love with Seniors all Nick wanted to do was cook or do anything food and beverage related. Nick accepted the Executive Chef position in 2021 and oversees all culinary functions at Echo Lake.
